John M. Matter was born in Tucson, Arizona, and made Phoenix his home in 2001. Mr. Matter obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Miami University in 1997, where he served as the President of the Alpha Chapter of Beta Theta Pi and participated in the Mortar Board Senior Honor Society. In 2001, Mr. Matter obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Arizona College of Law and a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Arizona Eller Graduate School of Management. While in law school and graduate school, Mr. Matter was a member of the Journal of International and Comparative Law, earned honors in the first-year moot court competition, and received a scholarship from the Arizona Business Leaders Association. Mr. Matter joined the firm in 2004 after working at a large Phoenix law firm. Mr. Matter devotes his practice to representing clients who have been seriously injured through no fault of their own or who have lost loved ones due to the wrongful conduct or negligence of others. Mr. Matter lives in the Phoenix area and is active in several professional organizations.
